World No Tobacco Day
The World No Tobacco Day campaign aimed to increase public awareness regarding hazards of tobacco use and
abuse, inform consumers about the business strategies of tobacco industry and trade, spread the message about
WHO initiatives for anti-tobacco campaigns, promote healthy lifestyle and habits among people and devise ways
to protect the future generations from tobacco abuse.
Medical Wing of Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation and Brahma Kumaris organized difference
programmes, as a part of the national campaign ‘My India, Addiction Free India on World No Tobacco Day’, in their
head quarter at Abu Road and various parts of India. We conducted exhibitions at Railway stations, bus stands,
road shows, distribution of pamphlets, human chain rallies in every district / tehsil headquarters.Medical Wing members, students of Brahma Kumaris and residents of all ages participated and supported the campaign. The participants took a pledge to free themselves from tobacco and also promised to free at least one of their close associates from tobacco.
